Common understanding of technical terms and definitions makes communication between employees easier, as it does between an organization and its customers.
The main objective of this glossary is to provide a comprehensive terminology with easily understood explanations of technical terms in the field of quality management. These technical terms and definitions are based on the ISO 9000:2015 conceptual standard and the DIN 55350 series of standards, both of which aim to standardize technical language used in quality management and statistics.
A reference work such as this can lay no claim to replacing larger works on the same subject. Rather, its main purpose is to guide users quickly straight to the information they require.
