Quality management principle no. 3: Engagement of people

The most valuable asset of any organization consists of competent and engaged people. Every organization benefits if employees furnish their knowledge and experience. Respect, recognition and enhancement of competence facilitate the engagement of people. That is why the quality management principles of leadership and of the engagement of people can be considered as two sides of the same coin. They are also closely related to a third important quality management principle: that of improvement, as continual improvement is only possible with engaged people.
